Spiritual Thoughts

int

The following are all questions that I have been mulling over in my head for quite some time. I went to a spirit fair a couple weeks ago and I did ask a few of these questions to the intuitives I met with. I am always going to have a lot of questions, but at least I have a little bit of insight now.

Will I ever feel some sort of connection and positive reinforcement that I am moving forward in my spiritual journey?

It’s hard to make a “dent” but anything that you do while working spiritually is a step forward.

How do I know what avenues of spirituality to pursue?

I asked about this and I was told to keep studying everything!

How do I find the time to keep learning everything I want to learn about?

It’s funny, because one of the intuitives told me that half of the things I research is because of my intuition drawing me towards it; and the other half is plain sheer curiosity. Which is completely true for me! When I am learning about anything, I always get distracted. I’ll see something and then go off on a tangent, like, “ooooh what does THAT mean?” Or, “what’s THAT all about?” and before I know it, two hours has passed! But, the answer to this is pretty easy. I will have the time to learn about what is most important and what I am supposed to learn about. Once I get more practice at acknowledging my intuition, I will know what to focus on better, etc.

Will I ever write another book?

I didn’t ask this exact question per se, but I did mention that I write. The intuitive told me that she sees me writing a book someday that will help others. I will share my experiences and things that I have learned through my spiritual journey and share them to help other people.

I don’t really put too much pressure on myself wondering if I will write another book. Well, maybe that’s not true. Either way, I have come to trust that if I should, I will. It is not something that I have time or energy to force. Obviously, I do hope to. I wish I could put more time into making it happen — but just when I think things might slow down and I can get into the swing of it — something else happens. Life is funny that way, though. Which is why I now trust if it’s meant to happen, that it will. Some days it is harder to just “trust,” but I continue to work on that, as well.

Reiki Attunement

I am very excited because this weekend I am receiving my first reiki attunement! This is something I’ve been wanting to do for a few years and it’s finally happening!

If you’re not familiar with reiki, it is:

“a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.”

Some benefits of reiki are:

  • Dissolves energy blocks and promotes natural balance between mind, body and spirit;
  • Increases energy levels;
  • Creates deep relaxation and helps the body release stress and tension;
  • Clears the mind and improves focus;
  • Accelerates the body’s self-healing ability;
  • Aids better sleep;
  • Reduces blood pressure;
  • Helps relieve pain;
  • Assists the body in cleansing itself from toxins;
  • Supports the immune system;
  • Helps spiritual growth and emotional cleansing;
  • Promotes creativity; and
  • Compliments medical treatment.

This is something that I will continue to post about and share with you as I keep learning!

Have a great weekend!

Fun at the Fair

Lots of fun stuff has been going on lately. So, let’s see…where to begin? Well, a week or so ago I attended a spirit fair. There were a few different vendors and upon admission we (my mom and I) were handed a paper with 2 sides full of different services for which you could sign up. The first side was mostly psychics along with some palmistry. The other side had energy workers. Mom chose two psychics to visit with. The first was named Mary Faith. Mom said she was sort of hit or miss in her reading. Some things were right while others were off base.

Her second reading was with Debbie. Debbie hit everything right on the nail. One of the funniest parts of her session was she said to my mom, “You have a daughter.”

“Yes, I do.”

“She seems sad. Is she sad right now about something?”

“Not that I know of…”

“Well, I don’t really know how to say it…but…she’s pouty…?”

“YES!”

“She’s got a LOT going on all of the time…and she’s got tons of goals. When her goals don’t materialize as quickly as she’d like, she gets sad. But, tell her there’s other ways.”

Cool, right?!?! I am definitely pouty. And I definitely always have a lot going on and have always had tons of goals.

Oh — and another hilarious part was when my grandparents came though to my mom (they always do when we have this psychic sessions).

Debbie told my mom that my grandparents were arguing about who got to talk first. My grandma won (also typical) and said, “Tell her to go clean her house!” With that followed immense laughter.

It was amazing, because not long before that, my mom had just gotten done telling me about how messy the house was and that she desperately needed to clean it! Apparently, grandma agreed! hahaha I think that part was really cool…it’s almost like grandma was joining in on the conversation with us.

As for my endeavors that day, I decided on an Intuitive Energy Massage with Alicia Fronczek. It was awesome. I laid on the massage table with my eyes closed. She did her thing by laying her hands on my shoulders for a few minutes. She then told me that whatever path I was on, whatever direction I was heading…that I wasn’t going to let anything stand in my way and that it was right direction. I’m not quite sure what particular path that meant. I am leaving for a loooong awaited trip to England next week…if that could have anything to do with it?

Anyways, Alicia said that she sensed a big part of me to be humanitarian. That I love learning and helping others learn, or that I am good at guiding others, etc. I suppose that’s true…I like telling others about things I’m passionate about. I was in a super relaxed state while she worked on me. One of the things I did notice though was an intense pressure in my head. But, Alicia told me that all of my chakras were in pretty good balance — there was a little bit to work on through the sacral and solar plexus chakras, which didn’t really surprise me as I’ve noticed they have a tendency to be a little bit underactive. It was a great experience, though.

Other than that, I had my aura photographed! It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for awhile (I wish I could see auras, but I haven’t been lucky in that, yet). I was really excited to see the service being offered. So—wanna see it?

Here’s my aura!

A little explanation into my aura:

The color on my left side (blue) is the vibration that’s coming into my being. The closer it is, the sooner it will be felt. It can be a few minutes, hours or even months. Blue is a communication color, so it means I’m a good & intuitive listener. It says I’m being stimulated to learn about something which is important to my evolution and also that peaceful times are in my future.

The center color (overhead) is what you experience for your self now; the color that best describes you. If the color is high (which it is!), it could mean aspirations, or what you wish to be. Healing would best describe me, according to the green color. Green is perserverance and tenacity, persistence, self-assertion, self-esteem and teaching are all qualities important to me.

The color on my right side is the energy being expressed. It’s the vibrational frequency most likely seen or felt by others around you. Your friends will think this is the energy that you are made of. It’s what you are putting out into the world. In my case, orange is creative. It’s a mixture of red (passion, force of will) and yellow (cheerfulness).

Needless to say, it was a very fun day for my mom and I!

A Soul is a Soul

Lately I’ve been doing a lot of reading, learning and thinking about souls. Our physical bodies are not ours; they are only shells used for our time here and now. They make it easy for us to recognize each other. The face you look at in the mirror every single day, won’t always be “your” face. When we die, our souls leave our “shell” and hang out until it’s time to re-incarnate.

When we die, our souls then go to a higher spiritual plane of existence. Some call it Heaven, but it all depends on your religious views. Upon our arrival, we are reunited with all of the “people” that had meaning in our lives. Lives in the plural sense, because you not only meet again with those you knew in your most recent life, but in all of your lives. Your souls recognize each other through karmic connection.

Souls can sometimes stay in between lives for many reasons. A soul can be confused about its death and unable to let go of its last life. It has unresolved issues, and tends to hang around the people and places that were important to it in that life. A soul in this situation is what we most commonly refer to as a ghost.

Souls that are ghosts are actually stuck in the transition stage from life to life. They might not fully realize they’re dead, or even if they do; they care more about getting back to their “life” than they do about moving on. Only a small percentage of souls become ghosts, and it really depends on how traumatic their life or death was, and how well they approached the act of letting go once they did die.

Sometimes souls, if they aren’t ready to reincarnate, can be spiritual guides or guardians. They are able to watch over someone that is of interest to them, whether it be a family member or friend from a past life; or just someone their energy connects with. They are also able to have more than one of these people to watch over, going back and forth between them. Some are there for the duration, and some are only there to help guide through a specific time in someone’s life.

I just find all of this stuff to be amazingly interesting…and I enjoy sharing things I learn with others that are interested, as well. Which reminds me of something else I read: some people are believed to be spiritual immortals. That means that they have achieved a level of spirituality and awareness that allows them to direct their own reincarnations while keeping some of their memories and personality traits throughout all their lives. These people can remember their past lives and even time spent in between lives. I would LOVE to meet and talk with someone that has this capability, wouldn’t you?

Haunted Objects with John Zaffis

Did you know there’s a correlation between a baptism and an exorcism? Also, our country took the longest to “embrace” talking about the paranormal. Up until recent years, it had been a forbidden or “not to be talked about” topic. Watch this video for more knowledge and see why you should be careful when out thrift shopping!

This video is from the 30 Odd Minutes series by Jeff Belanger. This episode is their 50th, and the guest is world-renowned demonologist, John Zaffis (who we learn loves ghost boxes!).
