A website that I write music reviews at, Pop Damage, has an article written by Josh Hatala about Paranormal State. It touches on Ryan Buell’s new book and the television series.
Ryan Buell didn’t exactly have the most typical undergraduate extracurricular activity. While most of the other students at Penn State University were out partying, playing intramural sports or planning for internships, Buell was busy hunting for ghosts. Not just ghosts but hauntings, demons, unexplained phenomena and any aspect of the paranormal. Buell founded The Paranormal Research Society (PRS) as a result of his own childhood experiences with the unexplained. The group, which started as a small student organization meeting in a cubicle like any other has grown much larger over the past four years thanks to a little show on A&E called Paranormal State.
